What Is Respite or Short Term Accommodation?
It’s a short stay away from your usual home, up to 14 nights at a time. Meals, care, and activities are all included. You can stay solo or with others, depending on what feels right.
It gives participants a chance to build confidence, try something new, and enjoy time with different people in a safe, welcoming space. It also gives families a proper chance to reset.
What’s Included?
Everything you’d want to feel confident sending your loved one for a short stay, plus a few thoughtful extras to make it feel like a mini holiday. So, what does that actually look like?
✓ Comfortable homes. Our houses in Wallsend, Maitland and surrounds are clean, welcoming and wheelchair-friendly.
✓ Support that suits you. From personal care and medication support to overnight supervision, we tailor the plan to your needs.
✓ 1:1 or 2:1 care available. For people with higher or more complex needs.
✓ Fun and flexible activities. Beach days, art classes, movie nights, bush walks, or just relaxing by the pool.
✓ All meals and transport taken care of. We’ll get you there and make sure you’re fed, safe and supported every step of the way.
